Effective date: 1 January 2025 · Last updated: 20 April 2026
Headline

The Site Calculator does not set marketing, analytics, or tracking cookies and does not place any persistent data in your browser's local storage or session storage. Your inputs stay in your browser and are not transmitted to Lumascendia (MLHARRIS.COM) LTD.

1. What is covered by this statement

This statement explains the use of cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, beacons, fingerprinting, and similar technologies (together, "Tracking Technologies") on the Site Calculator hosted at this domain by Lumascendia (MLHARRIS.COM) LTD ("ML Harris", "we", "us").

2. Tracking Technologies we do not use

We do not use any of the following on this site:

3. Tracking Technologies we may use

We may use only the following, strictly-necessary technologies:

TechnologyPurposeDurationSet by
Access-token processing To validate the unique access link issued by ML Harris. The token is read from the URL and sent to a validation endpoint; it is not stored in a cookie or in local storage. Current page session only First party (ML Harris)
Infrastructure cookies (transient) Our hosting provider (Netlify) may set short-lived, strictly-necessary cookies for load-balancing, anti-abuse, and session continuity. These are required for the site to function and cannot be declined without breaking access. Session / short-term Netlify (processor)

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) as amended, UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, and the German TTDSG, strictly-necessary cookies of this kind do not require prior user consent. They are used solely to deliver the service you requested.

4. Data stored in your browser

No data entered into the calculator is stored in your browser's localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or Web SQL. Inputs are held only in the live page state and are discarded when you close the tab or navigate away.

5. Server-side processing

Inputs entered into the calculator are processed transiently in your browser. We do not receive, log, or store your input values server-side. The only information sent to our servers is the access token, for the sole purpose of validating your authorisation to use the Tool.

6. Your choices

Because we do not use consent-requiring cookies, there is nothing for you to opt out of on our side. If you wish to prevent strictly-necessary infrastructure cookies (with the consequence that access to the Tool will not function correctly), you may configure your browser to block cookies entirely; the consequences are your responsibility.

7. Changes to our use of Tracking Technologies

If we add any new Tracking Technology — for example, usage analytics to help us improve the Tool — we will update this statement before deployment and, where legally required, seek prior user consent through a compliant consent mechanism.

8. Contact and further information

For questions about this statement or to request further detail about our use of Tracking Technologies, contact mlharris@mlharris.com. This statement should be read alongside our Terms of Use, which contain our full data-protection and confidentiality framework.

9. Controller and supervisory authority

The data controller for any personal data processed in connection with the Tool is Lumascendia (MLHARRIS.COM) LTD (trading as ML Harris), registered in England and Wales under company number 16961703 and with the UK Information Commissioner's Office under reference 00013737131. Complaints regarding our handling of personal data may be directed in the first instance to mlharris@mlharris.com, and thereafter to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority of the user's EU member state of residence.
